Pedestrian, Crowd, and Evacuation Dynamics

摘要

This contribution describes efforts to model the behavior of individualpedestrians and their interactions in crowds, which generate certain kinds ofself-organized patterns of motion. Moreover, this article focusses on thedynamics of crowds in panic or evacuation situations, methods to optimizebuilding designs for egress, and factors potentially causing the breakdown oforderly motion.
